The Idea

One finish line for AI cinema.

AI filmmaking is growing fast, and its best work is spread across many festivals. The Kineos brings those films together for a single night of recognition.

Any film that made the shortlist at an AI film festival is eligible automatically. And because every nominee shares how the film was made, the awards celebrate craft and process, not just the final cut.

“Kineos comes from the Greek kinein, to move — the root of cinema, kinetic, and kineograph, the flipbook.”
The meaning behind the name

Nominees publish their workflow: the tools, models, and process behind the film.

03

Vote.

Verified members choose the winners. Filmmakers who took part in the Higgsfield Global Film Festival are invited to join first.

The Kineos Standard

Show your work.

Every film considered for a Kineo makes its workflow public. It is how AI cinema earns trust, and how the next generation of filmmakers learns from the best.

  • The tools and models used
  • The process, from prompts to final edit
  • The finishing: sound, music, and polish

Best Workflow

One award is dedicated to the most creative and best-documented process. In a new art form, how it was made is part of the story.

The Kineograph windmill mark
The Trophy

Why a windmill?

In 1868, an English printer named John Barnes Linnett patented a small paper toy called the Kineograph. Flip through its pages fast, and drawn figures seemed to move on their own. Historians call the flip book a direct ancestor of the motion picture.

Our windmill mark carries that lineage forward, drawn in the vintage woodcut style of that era. A windmill takes something simple, moving air, and turns it into real work. AI film does the same, turning a simple set of instructions into a moving picture.

That is why a windmill stands at the center of the Kineos trophy. Its sails are four blades that turn, because this is an award for motion. And it rests on a film reel, because the idea never changed: still images, in fast sequence.

Kineograph is a revival of a name that belongs to history, not a continuation of the original flip book company.
